Welcome!

If you are the person who loves stories – the overlooked tales as well as the world-changing epics, then welcome to my site!  History is my passion, and I love sharing that passion with others.

For 18 years I have researched the life of Sandie Pendleton.  My curiosity about Sandie was piqued after watching the movie Gods and Generals.  I wanted to know if the movie's portrayal of his close relationship with Stonewall Jackson was accurate.  I came across one biography on Pendleton, Stonewall’s Man, written in 1959 by W. G. Bean.  And that was it.  I needed more.  (It takes a while for my curiosity bucket to be filled.)

The research that started as a hobby developed into a profound desire to write a book on this remarkable person.  This journey has taken me from Washington DC to San Francisco looking for every scrap of paper connected to Pendleton.

I invite you to come with me on this exploration of the life of Lt. Col. A. S. Pendleton, and on our way we will uncover many more important lives that deserve to be remembered.

After all, history is not just a record of our past; it is the blueprint for our future.
